Our weekly grass cutting services include mowing all turf areas, trimming around all objects and structures, and blowing off grass from driveways, patios, roads, sidewalks and landscape beds.
We always cut at a height of 3″ or higher during the summer months and as fall/winter draws near we gradually lower the cut height to prepare your lawn for a final fall clean up as well as to ward off any potential disease prior to the long winter season.
The best way to wake up your lawn after a long winter is a spring clean up and dethatching from Always Greener. After being covered in snow for months, debris such as leaves and sticks are often set in the landscape beds and turf is matted down from snowpack. During a spring yard clean up service, all debris is removed from landscape beds, driveways, sidewalks, and patios to the turf areas. We then tine-rake dethatch (also referred to as power raking) turf areas and bag up all debris and haul away.

Not only to prevent your lawn and landscape from being overwhelmed by leaves where it can be starved of sunlight, but also to prevent snow from packing the leaves and debris into your turf down making it even more difficult to remove later on. 1. Early Spring Pre-Emergent – Weed prevention with fertilizer
2. Spring Weed Control – Broadleaf weed control application

4. Late Summer Weed Control – Broadleaf weed control application
5. Fall Fertilizing – High in nitrogen to increase the “green-up” speed the following spring
When it comes to the overall health of your lawn, one of the best methods to strengthen and revitalize your lawn is through aeration. There are many methods to go about aerating a lawn, such as spiking (a machine that stabs holes into the turf), however we prefer mechanically removing the cores. This puts less pressure on the turf and soil because it removes the actual core of soil, turf and root, and deposits the core plug onto the turf surface which breaks down over the course of a couple weeks with proper watering, as the plugs break down they provide great nutrition for the existing soil along with increase the strength of the turf’s roots beneath the surface.
